LORRAINE MOORE YOGA

ABOUT

Lorraine Moore Yoga was founded specifically for students to access online yoga classes during the 2020 health crisis.

Having moved from New Zealand back in 1989, where I had completed my Dip F.A. and Diploma of Teaching, I continued working as a Teacher of Art in London, before becoming a paragliding instructor in 1993. Some years later in 1995, I began raising my family of five children in Oxfordshire. Here my Yoga practice too was born.

Now since qualifying as an Iyengar Teacher with IYUK under the directorship of Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in India (currently lead by Abhijata Iyengar) I teach across Oxfordshire and offer online classes. With over eight years of Yoga Teaching experience, I am able to offer classes at a variety of levels and abilities with attention to individuals and hands-on guidance.

Outside of my practice, I continue to tend to my love of the outdoors. I frequently visit the coast where my family, friends and I enjoy water sports, hiking, and camping. In my spare moments I read.

CLASSES

General Classes are suitable for beginners and pay particular attention to alignment and the foundations of the preliminary poses as set out by B.K.S. Iyengar. All poses are from the introductory syllabus. Essential props include a non-slip mat, bricks, belt, foam blocks and blankets.
